Off the Telegraph

This is a comic from Toothpaste For Dinner.

1. Berkeley has real influence on our soon to be president. President-elect Barak Obama held his first press conference on Friday with two UC Berkeley professors standing behind him. Obama's 17 person Transition Economic Advisory Board includes Professor Laura Tyson from Haas School of Business and Robert Reich, a professor of public policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy. Here is the story.

2. Sather gate is no longer a gate. It is just a bunch of polls with lights on top. Is this catching anyone else off guard? It is almost eerie.

3. The white tents that you saw constructed around Thursday and Friday were for the California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education on Saturday. I was frustrated that I was not able to plow through campus on my my bike on a Saturday like usual enjoying the lack of clueless people in blue and yellow hoodies. I pretty much plowed through anyways though and scared a few conference goers. That is what they get for being in the way of my lovely Saturday bike route, right?
