The Tree-sitters move to a new UC and The Faces Worked. Go Cal!

UC Santa Cruz has taken over the tree sitting trend. It seems a little bit more campus appropriate to me. UCSC is the hippie school after all right? I imagine the students there are more supportive. It is nice to know the tree-sitters have found a nice new home, and this time fighting animal testing as well! More here.

The Campaign for Berkeley is pulling in the dough despite the shape of our economy. The campaign closed the Month of October with 100 million dollars in donations. We sure need it too with the UC budget cuts. Berkeley doesn't have the same kind of endowments those fancy shmancy private schools like Stanford have. So thank those friendly faces on the way to class. The Campaign for Berkeley completely fails to represent Berkeley's diversity accurately, but I guess that works? More info here.
